A high-level meeting did take place in the Ministry of Defence at which senior defence chiefs and government officials considered the consequences of an attack on Iran.
This meeting took place on 5th April 2006!!
It is believed that an American-led attack, designed to destroy Iran's ability to develop a nuclear bomb, is "inevitable" if Teheran's leaders fail to comply with United Nations demands to freeze their uranium enrichment programme.
The meeting was attended by Gen Sir Michael Walker, the chief of the defence staff, Lt Gen Andrew Ridgway, the chief of defence intelligence and Maj Gen Bill Rollo, the assistant chief of the general staff, together with officials from the Foreign Office and Downing Street.
It is also thought that President Bush would prefer a multinational force, but is prepared to go it alone with Israel. Britains involvement will be limited,as will strikes on Iran.

Bush cannot win the next election. He cannot run in the next election because he is on his second and last term. Do you mean so the GOP can win the election? I think going to war with
Iran at this time would help lose the election for the in party. The carriers in the gulf are there to try to prevent war. I think the U.S. might go to war with Iran sometime in the future.

Bush is known to let something happens before an election. Just before the previous election Saddam Husein was captured ( coincidence ).... Read the book written by Michael Moore `Dude where´s my country ` you will get a lot of answers about the war and all the lies he´s been feeding the people.....

It's true but it will be sooner than next year - how about try before April. Those carriers and such are not going to hang around for a whole year doing nothing. They have also moved stealth bombers to many bases around the world. They never leave the US unless a strike is imminent.

He cant win the next election as his term is almost up and cannot be elected more than twice.

Tell me this, if you know this for sure, what makes you think the Iranian Intelligence doesn't already know too and is planning their defense?

It's silly speculation.

If you can read the future please can you confirm if the 2012 Olympics, to be held in London, will be a complete success without any terrorist activity to disrupt the proceedings?

I don't believe for a minute that you can read the future, but your DEDUCTIONS are quite reasonable. However, I sincerely hope they are wrong!

Iran will be invaded because it is supporting the Iraqis and had never stopped its nuclear arms build-up.

That's like trying to predict the superbowl winner. If you're right, nobody cares. If you're wrong, nobody remembers. So get over yourself.
