You know his income. If you are at home, you should be one to budget the income and expenses. You should know your limit to spend. The reason he got mad was because you used credit card to max. You are sensible enough to understand that what he did was right or wrong. Decide for yourself and take corrective steps accordingly.

Well to be honest, if you are a couple, and want to stay a happy couple, you should and he should kind of talk things out before maxing out the credit card. There is such high interest on them so its really something either one of you should talk to each other about prior to maxing it out. He didnt need to call you a spoiled brat and to learn the value of a dollar like you were his child and he is the daddy. That would irk me but understanding his frustration I do understand that totally. If you do not have to work be glad that you can stay at home and raise your children. Its the most important job in the world, you are having a huge input in molding the future of your children. So be thankful. You both will suffer paying off the card trust me.

Well, then whats the complaint about not being able to work? If your religon says that a womans place is in the home, then thats what you CHOSE to belive. Don't blame it on your husband. It's not HIS choice to what your religous belifes are. He didn't chose to add that to your bible (or whatever holy book you read) If you didn't want to be a stay at home mom, then why did you contuine to go on with this religon...?
And yes, you are a bratt. He has every right to get mad at you for maxing out a credit card. Do you NOT understand that a credit is borrowed money? Its going to take YEARS to pay that off, and what did you buy with it? Probably stuff that isn't going to last nearly as long as it will to pay it off.

I am sorry to say but guess your husband is right. If you are a mom, you have to give priority for the kids and not work. When they are small it is important that you are there for them. Maybe you can get a job when they are grown up. And earning money is not easy, it takes a lot of effort and who knows what difficulty your husband is going thru to bring the pay check home end of the month!! So when spending it you have to be twice as careful. So think about what your husband said coz I think he has a valid reason to get mad at you!!!!!!

What did you max the card out on? Stuff that you needed (gas, food, bills, ect.) or stuff you don't need (manicures, jewelry, ect)He doesn't own you. The courts decided in the 50's that a woman was not property of her husband.
If you want a job, then get one that corresponds to the hours that the kids are at school or his days off.

This is the 21st century...do what you want to do don't let anyone (including your husband) tell you what you can and cannot do! I'm kinda surprised he let you have a credit card. Work if you want to he can't stop you, this is a free country. You are not his child to be told what to do you are his wife his equal. Good Luck sounds like he's on a power trip.

You must be the type of girl that thinks just because there's checks in the checkbook, there's money in the bank, huh? Pay the bills for one month and then see how much money there really is for you to spend on crap.

Maybe he should spank you for being so naughty? IF he wants to play that control game then he should live with you being naughty and acting out from time to time. What else can you do for fun?

Depends on how much you spent and on what. That threat sounds kinda like a dad threatening his kid tho! You should be treated as his equal.
