The best insurance for elderly people is with American Express as they dont have an age limit. You will need to call with any medical information if there is any as with all insurance. American Express also do annual insurance with no age limit.

I have worked in travel for 16 years and this is the best insurance I have found for the elderly and customers have told me that it is considerably cheaper than any other.

My friend works for Globelink.co.uk and they insure people till 84, which is great to my mind. The prices differ, of course, but not that much. Another travel insurance provider is Travel Protecta and they insure people up to 86 and seem to have no age limit when it comes to cruise.

Depending on where you are from RBC insurance is fantastic. We had a visitor from England, go to the States and come to Canada for a day trip and he had a heart attack in Canada. His medical was covered as well as accommodation and other expenses for his spouse. It also covered the cost of canceling the remainder of his holiday. Plus a private Doctor who flew back to England with him after 3 weeks in the Hospital. I was amazed.
