Not sure if the girl boy thing really matters but it's a good match. I think it only matters when you get into advanced astrology. They are both passionate signs. Scorpio's tend to keep secrets though just almost for the sake of doing it but it's nothing to worry about. (I'm a Scorpio) so be aware if your the cancer.

If your big on astrology then you've got a good match and all you have to do is like each other for not driving each other crazy. Sometimes even perfect signs can hate each other for no reason. It's not set in stone but it's got a good outlook.

As much as people say that water signs go together as a romantic couple, I disagree. Scorpio, Cancer and Pisces are all emotional signs, and there needs to be a core difference in the male and female to balance it out. I am a Scorpio woman. However, I do get along very well as friends with Pisces. Cancer as friends: some I like a ton, and some I completely hate.
