The middle east was ahead of europe in the middle ages (till 1400 more or less). Than Europe started to advance, leaving the middle east behind, discovering new worlds, entering the age of enlightenment, founding democracies etc...

If the middle east would have beaten Europe in that than probably they would have advanced in those other areas as well. Maybe catholic fundamentalists from England and Germany would be attacking the twin towers of New-Baghdad, placing bombs in Mekka and Damascus. Also many Germans and French immigrants would flood the far more prosperous countries of the Middle East. The USA (with support of Saudi Arabia, Iraq and Syria) would currently be invading France (because of their Weapons of Mass destruction), which would turn into a quagmyre. The anglican fundamantelist government of England would be working on an atomic bomb as well, causing grave concerns in the free world...

First of all, we threw the Europeans out.

And secondly, Muslims can't fight worth a damn on the battlefield. They're good at throwing hand grenades into school buses full of children, but when they are faced on the battlefield against U.S. Marines, they run like scalded dogs or surrender to reporters! We don't have any fear of a mass Muslim invasion. That's takes guts, and they don't have any.
