The beatification of Mother Teresa was conducted Oct. 19, 2003 by Pope John Paul II. Many believe Blessed Mother Teresa will be named a saint of the Catholic Church someday, and her beatification is the latest step in that path to sainthood.

She has not been declared a Saint, yet.

She was hardly a saint. Sadist is more like. She demanded hard, long work hours from her nuns. They wore hospital bedsheets for habits and she was always begging for money above all else.

She also taught that Jesus, buddha, allah and all the other religions were one way to God. In essense, there were many paths all leading to god. Nice for a christian whos only hope is supposed to be through Christ Jesus.
