You may have to take a cash advance from the credit card and then use that cash to buy the money order. If you have a PIN number - use an ATM to get the money. If not - you will have to get a cash advance at a bank. I have seen debit cards accepted for money order purchase -but not credit cards.

It's difficult to find places that accept credit cards to purchase money orders, but I've finally found that if you do it as a general grocery store, then they are accepted. Going anywhere else such as Western Union, Wal Mart, etc won't allow it.
Seek out a local grocery store and your chances will be MUCH better! Good luck, it is possible!
PS: The United States Postal Service (post office) does NOT accept credit cards for money order purchases!
