is blonde more femenin?

In days of yore blonde hair was much rarer - hairdressers hadn't been invented. Like everything else rare and unusual, blonde hair became a symbol of beauty. This way of thinking is still engrained in our society even though blondes are a lot more common these days.

Hiya!
Well I've met an awful lots of males in my life who adore women with red hair, be that Auburn (dark) red hair (like myself!) or the paler variety that some people call *ginger*. Not all men find the blonde look attractive, I have found over the years. Not everyone finds true beauty in the same thing... they find it in different places, different faces and looks. My fiancé, (who is tall, strong, dark and handsome!) does not find blondes (or the artificial look that sometimes but not always goes along with that) very attractive at all. Just as the next person might love jet black hair, soft browns or people with silver grey hair.... people who know themselves know what they find beautiful...and that is often not what the mainstream masses and the media suggest is *Beautiful*.

All colours and shades and shapes are beautiful...I had many an admirer even when I had no hair at all, when I had been through cancer when I was younger. Whatever hair colour you have it's what's beyond the hair and appearance that will matter to ANYONE who is worth it! :o)

As a brunette this is one thing that really bugs me!! Especially as whenever you watch a film, tv show or even read a book or something the most beautiful girl in the world is always blonde!!

I know have real issues with blondes i think this stems back to my childhood as my sister is my blonde and people would always marvel how wonderful her hair was as it was so long and oh mine was brown!!

It seems to be the "in" thing, but remember, there are very few natural blondes in the UK and is it worth continually dying your hair to keep up an image....look at some of the older women that have been colouring their hair for years...look how thin the hair becomes...is it worth it ...just stay as you are ...and if the boys don't like it, tough ****...they're not right for you anyway

I don't think people think blonde's are more beautiful. Maybe some guys think blonde's have more sex appeal. That's not beauty, that's thinking by testosterone ;)
I'm blond but personally I think most brunettes are more beautiful.

Not really. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Other people prefer girls with shiny, long black hair.

Based on the answers above I think the male vote is in and brunettes take the cake.

men are like birds...they prefer shiny things. Sorry terrible joke.

actually it probably has something to do with a natural blonde (no highlights or bleach jobs please) tends to be a rare commodity. Rare= Beautiful.
