my partner and i have been trying for a baby for just under 3 years without any joy, i have never been pregnant before. He has had his tests and they are fine, ive had a blood test but now i have to have a 21 day infertility blood test to test the progesterone before the doctor can refer me to the hospital. Are there any other tests that i can carry out myself at home, i have changed my diet to be more healthy and do not drink alchol. It seems to be putting pressure on out relationship as sex has become mechanical and i only want to have it for a baby and in my "most fertile time" .
any advice would be much appreciated

I really feel for you.
I tried for ages to conceive my daughter who we then named "Hope" ( coz we hoped for her ).
If you are in the same place as me, then your 24 hour a day thoughts revolve around babies, prams, cots, baby clothes, baby names, pregnancy tests... etc. You get the idea.
I know its a frustrating thing. The truth is, that chances are that there is nothing 'wrong' with you. Stress and pressure to get pregnant often inhibits conception. And it is only when couples 'give up', relax and 'let it be' that pregnancy occurs.
Good on you for the healthy diet. Your child will flourish being raised by healthy parents. And yes, I do believe you will have a child!
Can you afford to take your partner away for the weekend? Not only will this help you both relax, but it will also help your relationship (and therefore benefit your child - every child deserves 2 happy parents!) It might help if you reassure your partner. Let him know that you want a child because you are sure he will be an excellent father.
Look, I don't want to Bible bash you - there's nothing worse - but I only conceived after I went and got prayed for. The lady who prayed for me, told me she saw my daughter and that she was going to be a very happy, smiley child. It's true! She never stops laughing!
I wish you all the best! Let us know when you conceive! Also, as a side note, has your dr told you when you are ovulating? This is the best time to have sex to fall pregnant. You can buy ovulation kits from your pharmacy. It's usually 10 - 15 days after your period.

Perhaps because the sex is now mechanical and you are trying really hard it is preventing you from getting pregnant. Try to relax about the whole thing. A friend of mine was trying for 2 and half years, they were at it like rabbits intent on starting a family they had the tests and they came back fine so they decided to just take a break from it all, they stopped trying and just carried on with everyday life within the next two months she was pregnant. Amazing. Good luck hun.

We too are trying and have been for over 2 years now. I have had lots of test performed including the HSG test ( it is where they run die into your fallopian tubes) I have been on Clomid with still no success. I am not going to tell you to relax because I HATE hearing that myself. You can't possibly relax when you want somthing so badly!!!! I am going to tell you somthing that I am going to try this next time that I am fertile and I hope that it works for you and me both! Ok please keep in mind that I have not yet tried this myself but am going too next month and also that this is not a medical statement this is just somthing that I thought of that might help us. There is a product called "Instead" soft cups. They are menstral cups. What I was thinking is that you could have your husband ejaculate on his inward thrust so that the sperm get the closest to the cervix. Then, have him place one of the instead cups inside of you so that it holds his sperm right there on your cervix. Best of Luck..........Please let me know if this works for you......e-mail me @- johns_haught_b1tch@yahoo.com. You can buy instead softcups at Wal-Mart or order them online from www.softcups.com. PS Good Luck and may God Bless you with the joy of you life. In the mean time try to make sex FUN again. Such as try somthing new and be spontanious. Give each other a massage, play a game, kiss, foreplay, have a sentuous bubble bath TOGETHER, candle lit dinner, or even just talk to one another. Again Best of Wishes. Your Friend, Me

Stop trying to conceive. Make sex fun again, and this will stop putting pressure on you, your partner, your relationship.

There is one test to see when you are most fertile, and it can be odd if you are not used to something like this. And I promise this is not a hoax.

When you are turned on, put 2 fingers into your vaginal passage, and when they are coated take them out. (I told you it sounded disgusting) If when you pull your fingers apart, and they stay connected by a 'string' this is when you are fertile.

Also get in touch with a woman called Marilyn Glenville, she has helped people such as Little Mo from Eastenders have a baby, and I wish you all the luck in the world.

I have heard of many couples who are desperately trying for a baby with no luck, who give up and become pregnant quite quickly! Your body will not allow you to become pregnant if you are stressed to the eyeballs, it's a protection system. Try to concentrate on your relationship and take the emphasis off trying to get pregnant. Nature is a clever thing, relax you may find you have more luck that way.

Im really not joking or trying to be gross but if you dont have infertility problem just have sex everyday for a month because there is only one day a month you can get prenant so if you do it everyday you cant miss, But do try to make more than just about having a baby its alot of fun to make love with the one you Love (i know Chezzzzy) but true .....plus it is fun to have a baby so try not to stress about it , I wish you the best
