You wont get to sleep within 5 mins most times, try calming down for around an hr meaning, no tv, internet, activity. Read or listen to music, first you must feel tired though. What do you do throughout your day? I have been goin to sleep like 3-6 am since last year due to my job now im stuck on those hrs. There are many sites and books on how to sleep better. Search yahoo, sleep hygene or try webmd. alot of helpfull stuff I bet you dont know.

well, guess what? I can't sleep ever since I became a college student. I can't sleep untill 2:00am in the morning and sometimes it's worse. I tried everything like you did except for the sleeping pills, but it's not working. and it's 1:40 am in the morning. I get sleepy but I can't sleep either. oops, sorry I was supposed to help you with this problem. sorry

I know the problem quite well. What I've found to work is to MAKE myself get up early regardless. To do this takes some extremes like multiple alarms and caffeine on the bedstand. It helps to get to sleep the next night (though it's taken a couple of nights before). Other than that, turn out the lights and turn OFF the TV and computer.

stop!! lol. lie in bed. get comfy. close your eyes. stop worrying, dont think. clear your mind. do tai chi, take deep relaxing breathes. be somewhere else doing something else in your mind, something that isnt stressful, somethiing good without physical stress. make sure your in a dark place. and tomorow.. or later today lol.. make sure you do lots of exercise and get tired. also, dont use the computer before u got to bed, it stimulates the mind too much.

Watch t.v in the dark until you feel tired. If you move around & stuff, it'll keep your body awake.
