Furniture, jewelry, expensive electronics (big screen tv's, computer/laptops, etc), and the actual household itself can be considered an asset. Anything that is considered to be of great value, basically. Paintings/various artwork as well.
Actually..a pawn store? Maybe not the household then. =P

Jewellery, valuable art etc. Depends on value. They will take 3-4 times the value of the loan. Try to avoid pawn shops if you can - they are crooks.
