Does anyone know what Steve Earle is up to these days?

My friend told me he was dead. Surely this isn't true?

My favourite Steve Earle album is The Mountain.

Steve Earle is still alive and producing great albums.
He is appearing at the Carnegie Hall New York on the 5th April 2007 and is due to perform at the Glastonbury Festival in the U.K on the 23rd June 2007.

hes not dead dont no whats hes up to although i do no hes playing Glastonbury this summer
