I'm from the U.S., and I have dreamed of returning to my ancestors' land in the UK & Ireland. I can't imagine wanting to leave there for some other part of the world.

Now I'm wondering what exactly is so bad about the place you live. Is it just that the grass is greener for both of us? I love the area of Masschusetts that I live in, but I don't like what's happening to this country in general, with the humongus influx of immigrants, who are not learning our language, who are pushing citizens out of the cities, by the millions, into the wilderness areas, destroying our beautiful countryside and the wildlife forever.

The middle class clamors (American English spelling) for border control, as our jobs are being taken and wages are falling due to cheap labor. What does our wonderful, election-stealing government do? Does it go after the employers hiring illegal aliens? Hardly. They make anybody and everybody who wants to come here citizens. Don't bother learning the language, don't bother obeying our laws.

There are some sections of every major city that are too dangerous to venture into, even during daylight hours. Gangs are taking over, and the police eat donuts all night and flirt with the store clerks while people are being mugged, raped, beaten and murdered.

Tens of thousands of new 'citizens' here, tens of thousands of new 'citizens' there...don't bother to do background checks...just let the terrorists in too!

I've seen alot of similarities between what's happening in our country and what is happening in England. Where are you from?

1. Approximately 542 UK citizens emigrate every day. This is from the National Statistics website: "An estimated 198,000 British citizens migrated from the UK in 2005. Once again Australia was the most preferred destination for British citizens migrating abroad, followed by Spain and France."

2. Even during the period of mass immigration into the UK, in the 1950s and 1960s, more people left the country than arrived. Net immigration, which we currently have, is rare in a historical context. This is what Migration Watch UK has to say: "Return migrants from the US exceeded emigrants from the UK in the 1930s - during the depression it was better to be back in Britain. That episode was one of the very few occasions in the last 300 years when net migration to the UK was positive, apart from the last two decades of rising immigration from the third world .... After the second world war migration resumed on a large scale .... Even the very large immigration from the New Commonwealth which got under way in the 1950s and which still continues, was smaller than the net outflow of British citizens until the early 1980s. In the last two decades Britain has become a country of net immigration, thus reversing the historical trend of previous centuries.."
