id like to dye my hair pink but my skin is dark..something like light tan... and my freind says pink hair looks ugly on dark skin....what do you think?

I think the lighter your skin the lighter pink you should go. Just try and adjust it to be a darker pink.

No matter what we say on here you will still always wonder so bite the bullett and just get one of those pink aerosols sprays that way you can try it and see what you look like wiht pink hair and if you do not like it then you can simply wash it out. Superdrug is a good place to get pink hair colour from.

Go for it girl, if u don't like it then dye over it.
Don't listen to what everyone else says, its ur body ur hair and u can do what u like. My sister has pink bits in her very dark hair and it looks great. i had red bits in mine and i loved it, just be careful, cause bold colours like that usually wash out and fade quite quickly, so u end up having it coloured every 2-3 weeks, plus if ur hairs dark u may need to have it bleached underneath.
Whatever u decide hun, i'm sure it will look fab!!

I wouldn't do pink if I were you but I would definitively do other colour like green or even more twisted GOLD , take a look at the pix of David Bowie the bass player in the 90's (she is a black woman) very very sexy and interesting!

Hey we all live once so if you like that color, get it.
But personally, I think your friend has a point about that dark doesn't match. Well, it depends sometimes. I think it's a little off but give it a shot anyways. Might turn boys on for a look of something new.

to be honest it has nothing to do with them if you want your hair pink go for pink its your hair and you only live once maybe you should try a nice light pink not too bright though on the underneath of your hair or steaked but i do suggest not all of it best of luck with your new hair xoxoxox

Really depends on your color of tan. But have you thought of going black and hot pink in punky color using the chunking method or just pink bangs, that does look cute. Ive seen it on other girls. Go for it you can always color it back. So whats the prob?

Your friends are right! Pink hair suits only to women with light skin! If you do it you will look like a Gypsy!

have you tried your local hairdressing training salons or colleges they could give you loads of advice they have special software programs where they take a piccie of you and then the computer plays around changing hair colour and styles etc?
also they do hair for free and they know what there doing so no embarrsing mistakes

i go for a blue that really suits darker skin colour an looks great as well so if your looking for a change try that even green looks good .
