Hi guys, one of the shift keys on my Fujitsu Siemens laptop popped up by mistake. Does anyone know where I can get it put back on (I've tried to do it myself and it didnt work!) and if my insurance would cover the cost of this? Thanks for your help!

Hi,
I know this is really fiddly, but I think it can be done by yourself. I did the same thing with my laptop (about 6 keys.) After about an hour (and lots of swearing, poking myself in the eye and general frustration..) I managed it. You need a table lamp directed right under the key and a pair of tweezers. Try slightly raising another key, to see how the 'spring mechanism' works. Then sellotape the broken key roughly in place, and manipulate the spring with the tweezers. Computer repair is usually so expensive, it's worth another try!
