I ask this question because my sister said that her boyfriend is too affectionate with her. He often wants to kiss her in public and hold her hand and stroke her hair in public places like the grocery store or a restaurant, and she said she gets embarrassed. WHAT? HELP ME WITH THIS ONE LADIES! I thought that's what women love!

Different strokes for different folks. Women love affection. You could never get too much affection. I think your sister just a have a problem with where he is choosing to show affection. Some people like to express themselves publicly and some don't. Your sister sound like a private person and there is nothing wrong with that where some women like to express themselves publicly.

Ladies DO love affection, usually have to ask for it. She is just "associating" affection as something that to "her", in her mind, is supposed to be private. I don't think it means it's TOO MUCH affection, just the idea that it's unconfortable for her, for some reason, in a public place. I used to be that way when I was younger, but that was only because it was not something I grew up around. My family was not very affectionate-kindof of people. I had issues about what other people might think of me, or that the only reason he was touching me, was he wanted something from me. I just wanted to get the shopping done or whatever. Now I realize, it was "me" he wanted, and what matters now, is what "he" thinks. So, my answer is abolutely NOT.

I think a man can show too much affection..I know he is trying to make her feel special but too much of a good thing is not good. Don't be insecure either..she would not be with you if she did not want to be. I would just tone it down a bit and save all the touches for home.

There is a very thin line between the perfect amount of attention and going overboard. Too much looks and feels funny. He should clue in when she dosent return his affection in public.
