Linux is affordable and ordinary - acceptable for a server ecosystem. notwithstanding, the shortcoming of application and consumer expertise would likely be obstacles to apply. In otherwords, you could take the final Joe off the line, placed him on a residing house windows gadget, and they are very likely to be in a position to get round it without a lot attempt - by using familiarity. i comprehend if i ought to remove my Microsoft crap and nevertheless run the third party application i go with on Linux, i'd. Oh nicely.

It could be as simple as some of the answers given earlier like training and support issues. Or it could be something like a contract clause or existing license agreements.

its a training issue, people don't like to learn new things, especially when it comes to their job. Saves them a ton of money on lost time for people trying to figure something out, but they get a superior backend performance. All in all for a company that size, its definitely a winning solution.
