Hun, I have the same thing-- it's called Hyperhidrosis and it's just excessive sweating you were probably born with. There really are no home remedies... I have it too and there's really nothing good you can do to get rid of it. I would suggest you definitely see a doctor, I did. I've had it since I was born, but it was never bad until about 3rd grade and I still horribly sweat-- my hands and feet-- and it really sucks. I went to the doctor and he prescribed 'Drysol'. You put this liquid antiperspirant on your palms and/or soles and let it dry, then put socks or something over it and it is supposed to be washed off in the morning (soap and water) and it's suppose to cut down the sweating. I did it (as directed) for over 2 weeks straight and it didn't do a darn thing. All it did was make my hands and feet sweat -wierdly- and when they would sweat, it burned... it may work for you but it didn't work for me. I've heard there are different lotions (Perspirex??) and I'm thinking of giving it a shot... it's probably similar to Drysol, but I'm desperate. I've also heard there is pills (which I really want to try, they probably work) and also surgery (out of the question for me... I'm not gonna go that far just yet...) but good luck to you, my fellow sweaty person... =]

By the way, nothing will just make it *poof* go away... it's gonna take time... also... eating and drinking different things won't help either... seriously. Research Hyperhidrosis. There is a lot to learn, buddy. Good luck.

The same as for sweaty armpits and soles of feet. Wash hands. Spray a bit of liquid antiperspirant on the palms.

I dont recommend you use this every day - just when you are going out, or the sweat will be a big problem.

Some people have a major problem with this and no home remedies like this will work. I remember seeing on TV there is a procedure or drug they have now that will help these people.

Sweaty hands can be embarrassing, and sweaty feet can lead to foot odor and increase the risk of athlete's foot.

One dermatologist we consulted offered the following home remedy: Boil five tea bags in a quart of water for five minutes. When the solution cools, soak your hands or feet for twenty to thirty minutes nightly.

Tea contains tannic acid, which is also found in commercial products such as Ivy Dry, Zilactol, and Zilactin. The astringent properties of tannic acid are thought to be partly responsible for its antiperspirant action.

I have had one or two friends get rid of the problem via a detox.. would you consider a detox to do the same?

And the detox is simple. All you need to do is three things.

Number one, follow the detox programme which requires you to change your diet a little bit. Eg, take more vege and less meat and seafoods.

Number two, use 1 minute a day to take some natural health foods that I take enhance the speed and the effect of the detox.

Number three, drink lots of water to flush the toxins out and help your body start to accept water.

And that's it.

The rest is up to you.

So what do you think? ;)

Essential oil of cypress is said to help this condition. If you can find the pure essential oil, dilute it in a carrier oil, like almond oil or even olive oil. Any nut or seed oil will do. Just make small amounts as it can spoil quickly. Use 3% of essential oil. You can add it to any store bought lotions or creams if preferred.
