Well.....i started track practice 2 days ago and im sooo sore i can hardly walk, my calves are a little swollen and the hurtttttt so bad. Is it normal for my calves to be a little swollen? What can i do to speed my recovery time?

That can happen to my calves too. What's worse is if you start getting spasms and cramps at night, ouch! Anyway, ice 20 minutes on and 20 minutes off at night and rest as much as possible for one day. On the day of "rest" do heavy duty calf stretches as many times as you can during the day. Then you should be good to go!

your definately gonna be sore for a while. Stretch stretch stretch, that will help you out quite a bit. Especially when your sore it is important to stretch out the muscles, but remember to take it slow. Also a hot bath wouldnt hurt you at all :D

Try some Bayers Back and Body pills and use a heating pad..Good luck.
