of things i eat.plz if any body knows plz tell me diet chart.babys leanth is 13.2 but at this stage its 17.2 is good so what can i do thats make my first baby healthy,strong ,n tall

what does your doctor say? if there was a problem he would have told you by now. I have 3 children, all were small to the point were i was asked why i was in the labour ward and even how come i gave birth as the midwife was sure i was going to go over my due date because belly was small. i was only 4lbs and full term, so i guess thats why all my babies were small. as the doctor measures the baby on the ultrasound during your pregnancy and it doesnt look like he is concerned, count yourself lucky that this will probably be an easy birth.

Small doesn't necessarily mean unhealthy. It's normal for babies to vary in birth weight and length. You get some that are 5 lbs and others that are 10 lbs; that's still normal. Plus, birth length doesn't necessarily mean that your baby won't be tall when s/he is an adult. Your adult height depends a lot on the nutrition you receive in your childhood and adolescent years.

That said, it might help to consult a nutritionist or to read up on good eating habits for pregnant mothers-to-be. "What to Expect When You're Expecting" is a good read. But as a rule of thumb, lots of lean protein, whole grains, fruits and vegetables, healthy fats in moderation, plus prenatal supplements (i.e. vitamins) - those are all a good start.

Hi there - if there was something wrong the doctors/midwife would have said something by now. As for eating make sure you follow a simple diet incorporating all the food groups and try not to drink to much caffene and alcohol. I used to take folic acid and iron tablets through my pregnancy to ensure these important elements were in right proportions daily.

In my first 2 preganancy i was very small and showing about 10 weeks behind, they where worried about the size i was sent for scans, at 36 weeks my 1st daughter was 4 lbs, she was born very healthy 3 weeks later at 5ibs 12, and was 18inches(quite short), but she was perfect.

2nd time they constantly worried me telling me my 2nd daughter was going be so small, and she was 6 11 born 2 weeks late, again perfect, same lenght as my 1st.

I would try not worry in my case it turned out to be fine. My eldest is now 6 and a half and only 103cms, thats very short but she is also very very bright and clever.

hi, on my first i put on 3 stone and had a 5.15oz baby,on my second i weighed 8.12oz at 18 weeks and did not put on any more weight,baby weighed 6.9oz.. on my third i weighed 9 stone at birth and had a 5.7oz (5 week prem baby)4.9oz leaving hospital.. all my children were perfectly healthy, even my prem baby.she is average height in school and has never had any problems being under weight.i dont think you should worry to much about it,im sure everthing will be fine.

hi my grandson, there was an issue with his growth when my daughter was 32 weeks he only weighed 4lb 2oz's then at 41 weeks she had to have a growth scan and he weighed in at a whopping 7lb 11oz then a week later she had him and he was 8lb 9 oz you will be surprised just how much weight they put on in the last few weeks grandson is now 7 days old and hes weight now is 9lb 7oz's, but she was worried bout his weight at 32 weeks and he was fine i think you are worried over nothing he be fine leave a message on my space when you have baby and let me know how much he was in weight good luck xx

There isnt much you can do, but the best thing you can do is eat healthy and drink as much water as you can. When i was pregnant with my son i didnt drink hardly any water, so what happened was my blood pressure was high and my amniotic fluid was getting low then i delivered him early I was induced, with my daughter id drink water like crazy, so what happened with her was i wasnt induced, my veins were great for the IV, and my amniotic fluid was good. sometimes its genetics, my daughter is skinny and it worries me but thats how she is. I also heard smoking can mess with there growth if you dont smoke dont go around others who do. oh and remember when you eat the nutrients go to the baby first not you, I hate to say it but you get the left overs, from what i heard pre natals arent for babies its for the mothers. eat baked chicken, egg whites, yogurts,cheeses, salads no fast food. every pregnancy is diffrent and im not a doctor. Eat healthy foods and drink plenty. Ask your doctor what could help your baby. You can get vitamins while you pregnant but you have to get them from a phamacy so you know you can take them while you are pregnant.
