Yes, because jealousy is a very ugly trait to have. Confidence is a much more attractive trait. More people respect you because of the way you look at yourself and life. There is no room for jealousy in this lifetime. There are too many other things to worry about. No sense in crying over spilt milk. I used to get jealous over stupid things....God gave me my life to live and I shall live it according to Him.

Jealousy will breed contempt. Contempt can be confused with hate. If i hate i will not want to associate with you let alone speak to you. So yes, it can.
