try some old Chicago blues- Little Walter, he was one of Muddy Waters sidemen. Almost anything by him is appropriate, I think you might want Can't hold Out Much Longer- "Crazy 'bout you babe, crazy as a man can be/ I'm so crazy 'bout you babe /but you don't give a damn for me." A Library near where I'm at has that stuff for free on CD- Little Walter, His Best is the title of one CD- so if you turn out not to like old blues you can always return it and you didn't spend anything. And cheer up- life goes on.
