I'm a local from Hawaii and just want to get people's opinions on how you view this racial group. I'm a mix of many ethnicities, Filipino, Chinese, Hawaiian, and Caucasion (white). What's your stereotypical view of a Hawaiian. I'd appreciate your honest answers. But I'd prefer them to be not so blunt and rude. Peace out!

True Mike4.... in order to get an honest answer, people will have to be rude/blunt. Can't blame them, their being honest. Okay, bring on the rude comments, I don't mind.

Wish I could be in Hawaii now. Hawaiians and your culture is very beautiful. If everyone in this world have the hawaiian-view on life, we'd have peace instead of wars.

They are a laid back people, but many can be racist. I go there about five times a year, as I have family living there. It is very interesting being discriminated against. They are behind the times in most things, and I feel that the Asian influence has taken away from some of the culture and has definitely ****** up the property values. The islands themselves are a true paradise and the people are great. One thing though, change the rainbow warrior thing.

I just got back from Big Island. I am a honky white guy, got a very warm reception from all natives. I hitched around the island and was welcomed. I know native Hawaiians have problems like every other culture. But I would like to aspire to be more like native Hawaiians. ( I am not some ***-kissing PC whitey either. I mean what I say!)
