I prefer:
-TEXAS: It's home, and it's way cooler than any other state! The people are the friendliest, and we can fly our flag the same height as the U.S. flag! How cool are we?!
-Mississippi: laid-back, genuine Southern hospitality, boiled peanuts
-Georgia: the mountains, beaches, and boiled peanuts...again
-Tennessee: a lot to do in such a small state, great history and music heritage, true hospitality.
-N. Carolina. The most beautiful mountains east of the Rockies, the Outer Banks, Piedmont, etc.

Do not prefer:
-Kentucky, by far! Rude, sour, impolite people everywhere I've been in that state (cities and towns alike,) plus most of it is literally dirty and littered (from Central City in the west to Louisville to London in the southeast.)
-Florida: same reasons as Kentucky, plus the dumpy old tourist traps and high taxes.
-Arkansas: Arkan-what? What would it be without Northwest Arkansas?

North Carolina is a great state.

Beautiful mountains and beaches. Best of both worlds.

I agree. Texas is home. I have never been to Mississippi. Been to Georgia once (in the fall) and loved all the trees. Tennessee I agree is laid back and friendly. Never been to N. or S. Carolina or Florida or Kentucky (thanks for the advice. . . .guess I won't go there) but I like Arkansas. They tend to be pretty laid back folk as well. Easy going and hard working people (for the most part), New Mexico is cool. . . .lots of Native American culture there. Lousiana is okay. . . .hot and humid but has great food. Alabama (never been there). Okay that is my story and I'm stickin to it. Oh I would so love to visit Branson Missouri.

Tennessee the main alluring state. South Carolina, will no longer be able to describe it despite the fact that it provides me a intense. To me there's a ghostly sense in the air. Mississippi has lots of the warmest and friendliest human beings. unlike you, I do like northern Florida. Texas is lots by potential of the main diverse state in the south. specific, if Oklahoma is south, then you certainly defiantly ignored Missouri. Missouri could be between the main underrated states in the union.

well as a born Yankee living in the south,i like it in Tennessee.their is so much to do and the people cant be beat, the weather is great and the food is hillbilly delicious.i lived in Texas and i just cant agree with you their,i find the people rude, inconsiderate, and a lot of crime where i lived.i had my house robbed,my purse even stole right from under my arm.i couldn't wait to leave Dallas.the only thing i liked about Texas was the food.Kentucky was great also, had a lot of fun their.never been to Florida.Arkansas was a bore also.

I look at the Southern states the way a successful man looks at his underachieving, ex con brother because, let's face it, those states are an embarrassment to the rest of the country. They have the stupidest people, the highest rate of teen pregnancy and are still proud of their past slavery. Why do you think we have that idiot in the White House?

This country would be much better off without them. In a generation they would be a third world nation on par with Mexico. Let them go.
