I'm just not convinced that global warming due to CO2 build-up from fossil fuel burning will occur. The jury is still out, sorry, I know that is not PC.

More heat energy absorbed by the atmosphere should result in more severe weather, not necessarily just "hotter" everywhere. Some places may be dryer than "normal", some wetter than normal. Some spots warmer, some spots cooler. The oceans will probably rise, I sure slowly enough that we can cope. One can find computer models that predict whatever outcome you want, and that's what makes it unscientific. The entire Earth's weather cycles and response to warming is just to complicated to reliably predict, even for a supercomputer.

Radical global weather changes would cause havoc to our way of life. luckily humans can adapt to almost any weather conditions it's in our gene's but not without great losses.

of course there will be many places hit hard however i think britain and ireland could be hit one of the hardest. considering we depend on the gulf stream warm water current to prevent Arctic conditions in our winters. if for any reason the gulf stream stopped both ireland and britain would freeze during the winters causing untold suffering.

with the ice caps melting vast amounts of fresh water into the atlantic, this could (over time) disrupt the flow of the gulf stream.

because fresh water (melted ice) is lighter than salt water it would stop the warm water from the gulf from sinking and in turn stop the flow, effectively shutting down the gulf stream.

ironic, as the world is warming up we could all be freezing in the not so distant furture. so in that sense i think we could be suffering the most. time to start making friends with our warmer third world countries in case we decide to move there.

check out kiribati island, i heard that because of global warming the natives are being treansported to some other place because their island is submerging and no place to live. then there's a news in australia that a few years from now, it will be a desert because of the changing climate that is occuring there now. something like that. just go and research on the net more.

Global warming will cause Icebergs of Artic Circle and Antartic Circle to melt.

Melting of Icebergs will cause raise in water content in Oceans.

Rise in water level of Oceans will cause lower lying areas to be inundated with water.

And such areas will become uninhabitable.

You can imagine the plight of a lowlying and highly populated country like BanglaDesh. There are 100s of such nations in the Pacific Ocean.

Ocean coastal areas and areas that rely on cold weather and snow pack.

Global warming can possibly dry up some rivers that rely on melting snow from mountains if those mountains stop getting or having snow.

The sea level could rise.

Climate patterns might change. Deserts might get monsoons and tropical rainforrests could get droughts.

Those areas that are near ice caps will get submerged because of melting of snow.

Also the coastal areas will suffer floods because of increase in the levels of water.....

Africa as usual. although it will efect the whole earth but africans are going to be worst hit because they haven't got the resources to tackle or amend to the changes it would bring. the irony of it all been that, africans are least polluters.
