Certainly it's not a DIY task, and a decent eyeglass supplier MIGHT offer advice. I'd probably see an Opticion first however.

The problem in large measure is that no matter the polishing rouges used, the perscription may be altered. Anything designed to remove scratches from glass has to leave its own "mark."

Glass is essentially "Poured" and any buffing etches it.

Optical glass would be an even larger issue, in that your eye might adjust to actually SEEING around a "scratch" but in effect it "strains" to do so. To involve the entire lense would very likely be more noticed by the one eye.

Easy to polish it out yourself. Go to an automotive store and get a can of Rubbing Compound, the kind that says POLISHING on the can, put some on a rag and rub it right out in a few minutes.

Try toothpaste. If no luck, take them to your local glasses supply company.
