G'day,

There are plenty of Australian universities offering a course in Mechanical Eng. I would suggest that you to use IDP Education Australian website (www.idp.edu.au). IDP is an organisation that gives information to overseas students who wants to continue study in Australia.

The engineering courses in the Australian universities are offered by public universities, therefore the quality are the same and the qualifications are recognised anywhere. Therefore the only thing that you need to check are as follows:
1. The state that you may want to study in.
2. Check the course information as well. The name may be the same between uni's, but the content may be different. Some are more flexible in regards to combining units from different faculties as part of the degree course.
3. If there's any Australian education exhibition in your city, go and visit them. You can also check what sort of services given to the overseas students on campus, since some bigger uni's sometimes not as helpful as the others.

Hope this helps. E-mail me at mikegun@studentfirst.com.au if you have any further queries. Good luck for your study and welcome to Australia :)

Hi there,

Try searching GoAbroad.com's Degree Courses Abroad Directory:http://www.degreeabroad.com/listings.cfm/countryID/4/degprogID/34
It's the page that has degree courses for Mechanical Engineering in Australia.

GoAbroad.com is, a comprehensive directory for international education.Aside from that, its staff took time in verifying most of the study abroad providers there(look for the light green check, check+, and check++ logo) and there's even a testimonial for some(look for the "speaking" logo).

Good Luck and hope this helps :)
