My husband asks me how could I write such a letter if I sent/received only 5/6 mails over 1 year and met him only once when he came here after 7 years? I could not explain it as I have no clue. My classmate was in love with me during my college days but I had none of it and love-married my husband. When things were a rough in our marriage my friend called me on phone and gave me lot of emotional support. I sent him a mail one year back and we only talked about our family issues. How can I make my husband believe this?

Well, I have to disagree with the guy before me. I mean.... he's a third party too. If I thought it was wrong to seek advice from someone then I wouldn't be here giving advice. Doesn't that sound sensible? O.K. you sought advice from someone you thought had wisdom in this one area. You couldn't go to your husband because, well, common sense tells you he's part of the problem. As for the person you picked to talk to.... who doesn't like talking to an old school mate? I mean there are web sites which focus on just that...getting old friends talking. Your options -?- I would try to rewrite the letter verbatim, give it to your husband and say from now on he gets to look at all correspondence since he has trust issues. Don't drop this as an "it's all in your mind thing!" there are may couples who suffer with this off and on. It's not just for new couples either. Just tell him that you will disclose everything till he feels comfortable with trusting you again.
