Do that which is best for the common people of the country. Obey the law and do your best to see that the law is obeyed. Stay away from those who have special interests that do harm to the people. Defend America from all adversaries. Make an effort to teach all Americans, at least those smart enough to understand, and that desire to understand, just how the government does function. I would also ask that he ask the people to be involved in the government by corresponding with their representatives in the Legislature.

Oh, how about tax cuts for the rich, run up the deficit, drag us into a war that we can't escape anytime soon, let 9-11 the terrorists still run free, misunderestimate the American people, take 30% of your Presidency on vacation, lie and twist the facts to meet your needs, bully government scientists to doctor their own results showing global warming, grab more power so that the Presidency is a dictatorship, discredit and accuse anyone who disagrees with you as being unpatriotric, spy on everyone, oh, wait, that's whet we already have, maybe when we wake up on 1/20/09, the nightmare will be over

Cool question!
1. Abolish the Patriot Act.
2. Eliminate "corporate personhood" (the ludicrous, widely-held belief that corporations are extended the same rights as individuals)
3. Implement universal health coverage to all legal residents.
4. No TV & radio advertising for political candidates (this will help prevent corporations from buying off government).

Corporate America has been getting preferential treatment and the people of America have been getting the crumbs. After record profits does "Big Oil" really need a $2 billion tax break? Level the playing field.

Presidents have come in every variety. They've been generals like George Washington and actors like Ronald Reagan, big like William Howard Taft and small like James Madison, handsome like Franklin Pierce and homely like Abraham Lincoln. From the embarrassment of skinny-dipping John Quincy Adams to the mischievous adventure of Theodore Roosevelt's pony, Judith St. George shares the backroom facts, the spitfire comments, and the comical anecdotes that have been part and parcel of America's White House. Hilariously illustrated by Caldecott honor-winning artist David Small, this celebration shows us the foibles, quirks, and the humanity of forty-one men who have risen to one of the most powerful positions in the world.
