I know it's been said to drink cranberry juice to help prevent or clear up UTI's, but I can't stand the taste of it.
Since I love jellied cranberry sauce, would that be just as affective at helping to prevent a UTI?

Thanks.

You could try cranberry sauce, but it has a lot of added sugar. Be aware there are also cranberry capsules that have no taste at all. Look where you find vitamins and other supplements.

Cranberry sauce will work but you're getting a lot of extra sugar in it. Cranberry juice is best because 1) it has cranberries in it, which promote a healthy urinary tract (ANYTIME, not just when you have a UTI) and 2) it has a lot of water in it, which hydrates your body and makes you pee lots... which flushes your urinary tract, and washes out the bacteria causeing the infection. If you hate cran juice go for the sause but dont have too much, it's not great for you, and drink lots of other clear fluids, as much as you can stand. If your symptoms aren't gone within 2 days or if they are severe see a doc for some antibiotics and to make sure the infection hasn't spread to your kidneys. good luck!

Take your penicillin and don't worry about cranberries. The only benefit in cranberry juice is that it's low in acid and fresh juice has some anti-oxidants.
With a UTI, water is just as good. Avoid acids like citrus juice and tomato juice.

the best is cranberry juice thru a juicer, with two apples

since anything in a glass container or can has been heated to
'pasturize it' and therefore killed all the great enzymes and stuff
that give it it's power

guess it's better than nothing
