Can we store light inside a special tube just as we can store water?

I can propose an experimental setup for doing the required job.
Take a long enough optical fibre. keep it's end perfectly co-axial, in front of each other, and flash a light between the ends. the light will be trapped.

No, bcoz speed of light is so fast that the time, that you will take to store it in the tube, in that time it will reflect back and we cant store it . In case of water it is a dense matter and can be easily stored but particles that travels along light are at high speed and can not be trapped.
