Much the simplest theory is that it started here. In science, the simplest theory that explains the facts is usually correct - that's called Occam's Razor.
Don't you think it would be strange for life which had evolved on one planet to be able to get to, and then survive on, another planet, without reaching a level of civilisation roughly as complex as ours today? And don't you think such a civilisation would have left more signs of its existence?
Why do you think life came from Mars?

not necessarily, but...If life as we know it did have its origins elsewhere, and they have come back to look over us and how we have evolved, they would see a world , being unconsciously raped for its natural resources, with endless conflict, at the neighbor /international/global level...and probably find it worthless to visit and enlighten us to more knowledge that a rich, powerful and privileged few would use against the masses to continue the confusion, misdirection and greedy gain...
