I've seen advertisements for Yaktrax, STABILicers, and others. Does anyone have any experience with these, or know where I can find a good comparative review? I'll mostly want them for walking on a hill with about a 30 degree slope, to shovel the driveway and get the mail.

We used to wear "rubbers" during snow, sleet and frozen rain. They used to be sold in every shoe store. They are made from rubber and slip over the outer shoe. They were sized according to the size shoe a person wore. I've seen these i a few shoe stores, so I know they can still be purchased. They were pretty good for maintaining and walking, etc.
