Oh yes.... must love George Carlin...
Well.... if God is omnipotent (all powerful) then he could make a rock of any size, but I must correct this statement. Omnipotence does not mean "able to do the logically absurd". For instance, even God could not make a round square. It's logically absurd. So, with that in mind, God could make a rock of any logically possible size. Since God is presumed to be all powerful, God can pick up anything that can be picked up. He/She/It/They (sorry, couldn't resist that), therefor, could not create a rock that is so big that He/She/It/They couldn't pick it up. It's logically absurd.

First of all God never claimed he could do everything and he can't

This question will prove it.

If God can do anything then why can't he make us believe in him?

See he can't.But there is a reason for that.
He gave us the power of freedom. And Thank God for that.
Life would be boring for him if he didn't have a challenge.
Now it's just up to you.Believe or suffer. And then excuse him cause he's got some more souls to save.Thats more important then trying to lift a rock that he can't lift.
Besides he carried more then you'll ever carry. He lifted all the sins of the world. You can't.

seems to me that you are really not seriously asking this question, and you really want a humorous answer. I personally don't see the humor in the question. But did you ever hear the expression "G-d is the rock of all ages"?

On a serious note, if He created the world then he can surely pick up a rock no matter how gigantic, and heavy it is.

Sure hope I helped your delima.

I think you don't quite understand anything about the power of God. God is love, spirit, holiness, and goodness. God's power is not intended to show how powerful he is on an egotistical level. Rather to show how powerful his love is towards sinful man. He chooses to use his powerful love to show you his mercy and grace towards you even if you reject God's existence or deride his ways, or make fun of his followers. His believers are living stones in his temple. He chooses to use his power inside the believer's life. He is that interested in us and our problems and concerns. He does not idle away his time as you might think.

There is no "up" in space, so any rock floating in space cannot be picked up.

It doesn't even have to be very big, you see?

Hah!

Supposedly your god is almighty and powerful. Therefore, no. I don't think he'd want to anyway. Then again, you never know what exists out there........BUT! What "WE" know about this GOD tells us he is most almighty.
