People dont want to hurt others.

I for one get caught with this, as i speak the truth and sometimes the truth can offend people..

I feel its good to speak to the truth because then i cant get caught out saying im telling lies, or conspiring or anything else bad. If i say how it is, then there is no chance of mixed communications.

Although as i said,, this can hurt people. so people try to keep it from them to let things slide. and this in turn can cause more problems, from mixed communication.

Because either you are afraid of the consequences, or you don't want to hurt someone if you do tell the truth. You really have to use your judgement Having said that read on..............................

My mother always said "The best lie is the truth, as a lie you can't remember forever, and the truth will eventually come out" So you are better off telling the truth even if it is difficult sometimes.

If telling the truth is difficult, then you must also be aware of holding onto the lie. It has been easy to hold a lie ,then to carry the truth, because the truth carries our weight, and giving up the lie within doesn't have to be as difficult as we tend to make life.

Sometime the truth can be hurtful....so it is difficult to tell the truth to a person when you know that it will cause pain or distress.......but if it is something that has to be told...than honesty is the only way to go...by not saying anything... it might just make matters worse or more painful down the road.......

Because sometimes you don't want to deal with the consequences of telling the truth. For example, if you cheat on someone you love, you want to lie because you don't want to hurt the one you love or you don't want to face the punishment of the person possibly leaving you. I decided a long time ago that it is better to tell the truth and face whatever happens, than to lie and live in shame.

It may cause us pain to tell someone the truth because we don't wish to hurt them. Telling the truth may cause us pain in that if we tell the truth we will be (or fear) punished or in some other way reprimanded.
We as humans do not like pain, we shy away from it and do all that we can to avoid it.
The saying is the truth will set you free, and while that is true it says nothing for the short and longterm pain that it can cause.

Hope this helps.

Because telling the truth would destroy us much faster. Lying is much easier--and thus slows down our own immoral degredation.
