Some people do it because they want to feel prettier, look better, have the best earring collection ever, wear a cute outfit with a cool pair of earrings, are stylish and the list goes on. Guys do it too...

I breed milking goats and every year I have to butt the kids horns (burn em with a round hot metal ting so they don't grow) I get another piercing done in my ears... I put the baby's through pain I deserve to go through pain too., I've been doing this for 6 years now so I have 6 earrings up one side...

I'm sure there are some girls that only get their ears pierced conservatively.They would have to be someone with their own sense of style.They don't go along with the crowd.

Well, my third piercing was with a friend that was going into the Army so we got matching pierced earrings. She got one hole and I got one. I have two on one side and three on the other. Her boyfriend then got one, and matched our earrings too.
Every time I see it, I think of her. (it was 20 years ago)

Te he, we get them because:
a) It's just another piece of jewellery that we get your gorgeous guys to buy for us! Hooray!
b) It makes us feel good about ourselves (Especially because you gave a earrings for them!)
c) We are following the crowd, and caved into peer-pressure a loong time ago!
d) We can pretty up an outfit with a hot pair of earrings.
I only have one hole in each ear, and that's enough for me right now, although I have been thinking about getting another one in each ear. Basically, girls get them because we want to!

I have two sets of piercings in my ears. I like it because I can wear cute earrings; although I really only wear one pair of earrings at a time. I think wearing more than one is a bit tacky and high schoolish.

the 1st hole was to wear earings and be girly, got it done when i was 7. got the 2nd hole when I was 13, it was in style. The holes closed. In september I decided to get them re-done because I wanted to see my pain threshold because I was nervious to get my tatoo, so I got the ears periced again, and the tattoo a few days later. I don't know, i was just bored...

Earrings add a finished look and make a statement about you. They are also a good accessory to compliment whatever you are wearing. If your ears weren't pierced but you still wanted to wear earrings you would have to wear clip-ons and ouch, they hurt.

i dont really care for earings but i know most girls get them pierced because it look good. anyway boys do the same thing. they look cool if they have the right kind of earing. lol.

personally I don't care for earings. My ears were peicered when I was very little so I had no choice but I think they make my face look funny. Some people look pretty with them though, it depends on who you are.
