People call dog-eating people inhumane and cruel.

I mean, to them, beef and pork are acceptable, but dog or cat isn't.

Ooh, when they call you "ignorant" too.

Me, I don't like dog, it's too greasy. But calling people who eat defferent ignorant is just dumb.

And of course, there's the grammar freaks too. They'd call me ignorant for spelling different wrong.

Ah, killing is part of the ecosystem. Taking morals aside, there's nothing wrong with killing anything, even humans.

Though there might be social and ecological setbacks. That's why people avoid killing.

And plants are living creatures too. What, don't eat them?

We don't eat dogs because they are our friends.

We don't eat horses because they are our friends.

We feed horse meat to dogs.

?

When I was young, we had horse meat fairly regularly. Now some idiot has made it illegal in Calif. It's a lot like beef with a sort of sweetness. Burro is a lot like veal. Yum!

Never had dog. At least not that I remember.

Personally I believe that eating a dog, cat or horse (for that matter) would be like eating my best friend. I realize that eating dogs and cats are the ways of other peoples and societies but I just cant get past the idea of eating anything that is a pet or friend.

I have no problem eating pork or beef or chicken, I don't make friends with them or pets out of them. I don't make pets of cats either... hmmm.

People generally react that way because in a lot of cultures dogs are seen as pets and not eaten, so when you decribe eating dog they picture their little Fluffy being fried up and they react badly.

I think to each his own, but you have a point, all meat was a living creature so to distinguish some meat as inhumane and not others isnt right. (I draw the line at humans though )

If more people had chickens or pigs as household pets, their attitudes would be entirely different.

Yes, or when people say "oh, don't shoot that hunter, what did you do!" and then happily kill a deer.
