The Value Of Family

2016-11-07 07:19:09 · answer #2 · answered by ludden 4 · 0 0

Because of the unconditional love and support they give. Always being able to count on them to help you thru the tough times. Being able to call on them at any hour of the day or night and they drop what they are doing just for you, without ever getting angry.

Everyone needs to value their family & friends more, you never know when they will be taken from you.....My mother died when I was 16yo, my father passed when I was only 25yo. The only family I had left was my son, who passed away almost 3 years ago come the 29th of March. He was only 23yo. May they all rest in peace. I was only 40 and left with no family at all.

I value my friends because they relate to me. They helped me in shaping me into the person I am today. If I need someone to talk to they are there for me.

I value my family in a abstract way. I don't have alot of family and the ones I do I have recently met (don't ask). The one person in my family that I value the most is my father, because when my mother did not want me anymore he steped up and many men would not do that. He raised me and did a pretty damn good job of it. I love him and I believe for the most of my life he was the only family member I had and the only one who loved me.

Everyone you meet impact your life either in a good way or a bad way.

I value my family and friends because I really believe they were given to me by God.
No, it's not that they're so holy or anything (nor am I!)
I just believe that there are no "random accidents" and that God specifically chose this family for me, gave me this particular husband, these particular children and has chosen different friends for me throughout my life.

Even my neighbors I feel are my God-given neighbors, the ones I really love, *and* the ones I don't care for. I believe that God is always teaching me about myself and about Himself.
So I can *only* value them.....no other way to respond, when I believe as I do. They are all valuable creatures.

Pretty broad question - I guess you're asking how much to spend? Or what size of gift do you give? regarding Christmas: all the adults draw a name of someone else to buy for, and we set a limit of $25 Australian last year - that's about $22 US at present, I think. Kids' gifts are not monetarily limited but we usually ask parents what the kids want, and if it's a large item, cash in envelope "towards your bicycle", as much as is affordable. (I bought my niece a backpack over Christmases and birthdays!) Or you could get a present for each family - movie tickets, Scrabble, blank DVDs, etc. Really up to you, just get everybody to a general agreement.

I remembered treating my studies as my first priority, everything was the second. It was until my father's death I realised that there were certain things you couldn't do. I couldn't afford to turn the hands of the clock back to spend more time with him. So, I value my friends and family more.

Everyone feels the need for an identity; that makes him a "someone". Friends and family do that. Sure, there are other things, like ones church or job. But they are inanimate and do not show yourself and the world you are important enough to be loved and respected. Friends choose you and your family represents you as you do them. Identity.......ego and superego need satisfying.
