if you have enabled printer sharing and the computers are all in the same workgroup you have no problem.
click start>printer>add printer>select network printer, in the network printer box you have three options select browse for printers, you'll see all the computers on your network and printers connected to them, select the one you want and follow the remaining prompt. it should work
take care

This is not an accurate answer. But I had, accidentally, re-loaded the LPT1 port on my laptop connected to the internet by an adapter (no wires). I found out that the Panasonic printer was claiming the port was required for the Quicken PDF (internal printer). This is not so. If you check your printer properties the Q? PDF (I assume other PDF printers are the same), it will give an error message "printer not active error -30". When I open Quicken though it does print reports (LPT1 ready status and no listed printer). Good luck! I would uninstall all printers and start again.

If you are in the same workgroup go:
Start>Run and type \\computername
where computername is your main CPU.
Then find the printer, should be right there, doubble click it, and viola you have installed the printer (just keep clicking yes to install). You will know if it is successful if a printer que comes up.
There is problems however installing drivers for printers with different OS versions. This might be present from 2000 pro to Vista, but it always works for me from 2000 pro to XP (all editions)

Go to the main computer. Enable print sharing. Now the printer should show up as a network printer choice.
