Cheryl, it may have to do with content. There are certain words that are flagged. You know the four letter ones! When these show up it will star them out. I am not sure but if too many are in one message that whole message is quarantined. You will get an e-mail from yahoo answers telling you that there was an incident concerning your question. Another possible problem is you have a very bad worm in your computer. What it does is catch the outgoing mail or responses and tack on a worm to the receiver. This is detected by yahoo and the response is killed right then and there. If you get return messages saying you were sending spam to people you know you never mailed to then this is definitely the case. Call your IP and they will stop it.

Try to click on status bar and even then let them inform you in your mail box yo definately have answers.
But this one is here so just post them again.
We are willing to answe.
