Okay so on movies and stand-up you hear about someone going for treatment for pot and someone stands up and before you and talks about how they were molested and were smokin crack at 10. Now it's your turn to say why your attending and your like I like to smoke pot. In reality if someone has a problem with marijuana is it worth going to treatment or will there be a back lash?

I think a drug problem is a drug problem no matter what the drug is. If you need help & you know you need help that would be the last thing I'd be worried about.

Weed isn't physically addicting--though one can develop a mental dependency. I don't think that someone wanting to stop smoking pot should be at the same type of rehab as someone trying to stop an addictive drug - or alcohol.

A pot smoker who would like to change his or her lifestyle may want a rest (short term, like detox), and then outpatient therapy. If they really felt they needed more, I think that would be better in a different wing of the hospital/rehab.

In treatment program es and meetikngs for addicts there is always thoes addicts who scream out "My Addiction Is Worse oh poor me. Just pay no attention to these types and focus on your own soberity. An addiction is an addfiction it doesnt matter the form adddiction has taken it only matters that you reconize the addiction and deal with it.

This reminds me of half-baked, lol.

Anyways I think it is stupid to go to rehab for pot, mainly because it's not dreadfully addicting and if you wanted to stop I think you should be able to. But everyone has there weak spot, I wouldn't really recommend going to rehab for pot unless it's interfering with your life, and bleah even then show some willpower...

I think it's a great idea to go to rehab for marijuana. If you can free yourself from the addiction now, you can avoid more serious complications later. I think there is more of a backlash if you continue to smoke, as it is known that marijuana is a gateway drug.

If it's a habit and you're getting blown every time, then it's a big enough issue to try to resolve. It's obviously affecting your everyday life and standard of living. I say Yes, it's worthwhile.

You have made the first move by telling yourself there is a problem.
There is nothing wrong with going to rehab. It should make you proud.
Don't give up-if you are sincere.
GOOD LUCK...

Substance abuse is substance abuse, seeking help is always the right thing to do. It is not only for those on "hard drugs", but for anyone whose life is disrupted, or controlled by their habit.
