When everywhere I look, I see
Young girls dying to be on TV
They won't stop till they've reached their dreams

Photoshopped pictures in magazines
Telling them how they should be
It doesn't make sense to me !

You'll see that something is wrong
There's no more normal families
Parents act like enemies

I guess we're all just too damn busy
And money's our first priority
It doesn't make sense to me !

mtv is the source of evil. this station promotes the stupidest (and sometimes prettiest) people in the world.....this station is responsible for reality tv which is creating a stupider and stupider society every day......people only care about money, because that's all they see....people should be concerned about politics and what's happening to our country...........

Mother and Father, instructor and teacher, adjusters and health aides, clothes and body colors, candies and drugs, tools of the trade.
Fine world filled with visual glitter, flashy cars, and racy people. Got to get on the merry-go-round to enjoy the spin.
Got to get off if you don't enjoy the sickening upset in the stomach and the jaw dropping urge to puke.
Too fast a life for some, but all stars do not burn bright that do not burn out faster then the rest of us. They go on and pleasure their lives in a fury hurried way we all cannot follow.
Deeds of Honor and home life sometimes are slow to them, and were a commoner thing in the days of the horse and buggy. Slow walks, long talks, and gazing about; at the sights and sounds.
Holding hands in the grandstand, while musing over the smell of the pies in the windows, cooling, for the big buffet the towns people play as evening nears the dinners call.
On a nice day everyone brings out the tables and sits in the park. Checker board table clothes gently breathing the air passing under and around us as we all share the local tales and muse at others who we wonder about, what thoughts have passed through their minds.
As the food is eaten and the jawing reaches all, in the afternoon delight, the sun begins its slow descent over the horizon. Food is finished and plates and tables are cleared.
Passions of musing, still amusing us as we near the door steps and begin our calls of good evening and good night.
A queue to all as evening light blends, the young share secret signs they will meet again: at the club house, grand stand, or the glen.
Young lovers too will soon bemuse their future on the rise. As age goes on they soon will bond as did their elders grown old and fond.
For another passion we all hold dear the cuddling on the couch in front of a warm fire place. Especially in the winter of our years.

People forgot how to be content and happy with who they are and what they have. It's nothing wrong with wanting to lose weight or gain money, but when these things become so important that you take all sorts of pills or abandon (in a sense) your children respectively, there is definitely a problem.
When the wicked rule, the people tend to follow their corruption. Also, it is as you said, it's all for the money.

Apparently you have been associating with members of the "ME-FIRST" people.
There are a lot of them around and, since they can see only to the ends of their noses, they need to have their noses lengthened before they can become normal people.
Many are the product of our zany Motion Picture and Noisy-Music gangs. Young girls who swing their butts around and have their breasts exposed to attract attention.

nope, life's not fair. i look at my, my husbands own lives. he lost his 2nd wife @ 28ish, i just lost my only bro, he was 32, just had to forcefully put down my 15 y/o cat, lost afriend on 2/14, he was married 20 yrs, w/ his wife 28 yrs....
we have all learned to love what is and not near and dear to us, let them/it go. there is a betterplace, not suffering or afraid anymore!
it is hard to think about others suffering, i may sound really selfish, i truly am not, take of what is close and matters most to you!

It's hard for me to stomache poems, but yeah looks like you got some pretty good points, society is horribly screwed. Oh, and it doesn't get any brighter the more you learn, my advice is try to find good people, like family or friends who listen.

I care that's why I'm trying to teach my kids the things that are right and wrong and making sure they remember them. That I hope will make a difference.

Everybody is neurotic and grabby for the all mighty dollar. Its true that no one likes to share, but maybe if we stick together and talk to each other we'll be able to make it thru this life.
