I've given this question a lot of thought over the past couple years and I can honestly say I'm a little concerned. We see movies and read books that show and describe technologies that are completely ridiculous or inhumane, but shouldn't we pay more attention to the fact that some of those things may happen? I sometimes wonder what technologies have been discovered that we are unaware of. We're possibly a decade away from having flying cars (www.moller.com) and many other aspects of every day life seem to be advancing as well.

what is your benchmark for you to say we're already too smart? dude, there's simply no way to tell, the galileo era thought they're the smartest generation, but again the henry ford and einstein years thought they were...but they're just a bunch of old school now...what will really make you smart is this - don't stop learning and discovering things....we cant' just stop here and cease everything by thinking we're already smart, because if you do you ain't.

I honestly don't think we have anything to worry about. We are smart as far as developing things, but we aren't smart enough to understand the reprecautions.

to smart?we only think we know.our knowledge doesn't even compare to instinct in the lowest animal forms on the planet.if we were smart,,,as you say,,,our advancements would be in "humanity"instead of "luxury".if anything we become more ignorant with each passing moment.

Don't fear evolution, brave this new world and have faith that we don't blow up our planet in the process.
