You can feed them now, just remember with all food and babies, start with one type and make sure than in no less than 3 days nothing vital has changed before offering any new foods.

milk not recommend until 9 mts and older. HIGH protien ESPECIALLY rich in iron, like meats, recommended from 6 mts on as the baby only has iron supplies for 6 months. All fruits, veggies and meats can be introduced at 6 mts old, just need to make sure the texture is right.
Recommended one food at a time to check for allergies as well, one new food every three-five days.

My 10 month old eats cereal with a bit of fruit around 10am then at suppertime she gets veggies and fruit. Sometimes i will mix a little of the meat in with the veggies if it isnt in there already. I started this around 6 months of age. She gets only breastmilk the rest of the time. Trying to get her to drink from a sippy cup!

You can start....what you want to do is introduce 1 new food & stick with that for 3 days before your introduce another new food, this way if she is allergic to anything, you are not guessing.
My daughter is 10 mnths old, I started her at around 7 months, she was not crazy about the chunky ones (stage 3 foods) until recently, but now she prefers "real" food when I chop it up, like macaroni.
Enjoy this time...it can get messy :)
