jealousy? what do you think?
if someone is pretty/handsome, people will tend to say many untrue things about him/her. is it because of jealousy?

absolutely not. What goes around comes around. If people are starting straight up lies about you you need to ask yourself why. And ultimately the answer will rarely be jealousy

I think that depends on the person. When I was in school the pretty and popular people who were not jerks didn't have to worry about gossip and rumors. Just the same for the unpopular folk.

There can be other aspect too. Business rivalry and political jealousy.

one would hope not, depends on your age, social group. of course it happens, "BRITTNEY"!!! even @ HS level, everyone knows it, no one does anything, or blows up a school....
