I am not sure how things work in your country, but I live in the USA and I order gifts all the time over the internet. I have them shipped to my daughter who lives far away in another state. I have done this for years and never had any problems. Sometimes I send her a gift card and let her do her own shopping. Do you know what kind of gift you're looking for? If I had more information I could offer some suggestions - like is your friend male or female, what age, likes, dislikes, etc...

Of course you would need a debit card from a bank, or a credit card. If you don't have one, maybe you could pay a friend or relative and and they would let you use their card. Here in Texas we can go to a check cashing store and pay cash for a card that you can use just like a credit card. It costs about $10. (no need for bank account or good credit) Maybe they have those where you are. (???) Good luck to you.

I think the best approach is to mail it. You will be able to buy something authentic from India and get it over here.

Alternatively, go to websites like buy.com, bestbuy.com, circuitcity.com and other sites, and find out if they will take your credit card. If they take it, then you are in good shape. Buy anything you want from an e-commerce site, and have it shipped to people in the US.

I think e-Bay India would work also. Check out the retailers that will take Indian Visa/Master card.

Good luck.
