I've seen the video of the judge and his... emotional... ruling regarding Anna Nicole's remains. The exagerated use of dramatics is astounding and unprofessional; I'm skeptical about the legitimacy of the ruling. Does anyone else smell money involved there somewhere?

It's important to keep in mind that this was probate court in which issues are deliberated over without a jury present and a judge takes a more active role. The case was complicated - who would assume legal control over where Anna's body was to be buried - the executor of her estate (Stern) or her mom. The judge felt that the infant daughter deserved representation and appointed a guardian to represent her in court - so 3 parties were in contention for the right to decide the location. The judge had to determine what the laws were in terms of succession and what Anna's intent was. He did a good job in letting most parties provide evidence on the laws and her wishes, also he was mindful that time was running out to render a timely decision. He did get her body embalmed and got her a final resting place beside her son in the plot that she had bought for herself. So the judge wasn't likely paid off but did the task that was set quickly before him and with the added pressure of live cameras present.
