Are there any pharmacists or pharmacy students out there who got into a school of pharmacy having completed their prerequisites at a community college? If so, how much harder was it for you? Are there any pharmacy schools that have easier admissions than most, if so which ones?

I went to a community college and was accepted into pharmacy school early, which means I was in the top 10% of all their 677 applicants that year.

In my opinion, the most important factors when applying for pharmacy or medical school are to have a consistently high GPA, do well on the entrance test, and have a friendly, outgoing personality.

Each school has different entrance requirements. My school specifically states on their website that they give no preference to anyone based on where they completed their prerequisite classes.

I actually tell my friends who want to get into pharmacy or medical school to go to the community college. The reason is that an A at the community college will get you more points than receiving a B at the local university. Not all community classes are easier, but I wouldn't want to take the chance of getting a lower grade just because the university professor wants to make their class extra hard.
