Yes. Seek help darling. Just talk to a friend if you can't talk to a professional.

it could be or just regular teenage angst, if you are a teenager. if not then yeah, i think that would be considered mild or some light manifestation of depression. but you have to think about this in the larger scale. are you really depressed or are you thinking that that you are depressed and making yourself justify your thoughts? yes that is a silly and personal question but it should be considered before you take any further action i.e. seeing a psychiatrist or psychologist.

overall, you have a depressive affect that might eventually, with the behavior and maladaptive coping technique you are training yourself to fall into, become classified as full blown depressive (for lack of a better term at the moment).

you should try to remedy the problem on your own first i.e. read some books that have case studies of similar individuals and see how they managed with this and possibly overcame this obstacle. if it becomes too much to handle then you should see a psychologist, not a psychiatrist as they would want to make you more dependant upon drugs than build a solid foundation for good coping strategies.

hope this helps.

Sure is. If you're feeling lousy about yourself for no particular reason, that's depression. If you can't think about tomorrow because the pain today is so great, that's depression. If you've even _considered_ suicide as an option, you're certainly depressed.

Suicide may be a different mechanism, though. I've been diagnosed with concert-grand depression for years, but I've never thought of suicide--never considered it to be an option, ever. Anyway, stay alive. It's spring training now, and March is around the corner.

If you are thinking about suicide (even if you aren't planning on doing it... just thinking it is enough. that's how it all starts, after all.) you need to seek help asap. If you are so desperate that you are even thinking about suicide then yes, you sound like you are suffering from depression.

Get some help and a real diagnosis. Life does not have to be this way. I promise.

Thinking of suicide is one of but not the only syndrome of depression. Depression normally start with losing interest to do the thing that you normally like to do.

But anyway, you need to talk to professional if you keep thinking of it.
