All planets around the earth we live are known. Think of one planet around you life does exist there, would you regard this friend crazy or pompous?

Our solar system is a tiny speck on the back of an ant. There are billions of other solar systems out there with suns and planets that could very easily have all the necessary requirements for life. There are solar systems billions of light years away. Can you even comprehend how far away that is? And please remember, life does not have to look like humans to be considered life, even intelligent life. Just because we, in our tiny, limited knowledge have not been able to travel past our little solar system, does not mean that intelligent life can, and probably does exist somewhere else out there somewhere. I agree with your friend. It's very chauvinistic of us earthlings to think we are the only life in all of these billions of worlds.
